Words of Inspiration - Words of Mother Teresa

Saint Theresa's Prayer

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing,
dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Take care

Words of Inspiration - Words to ponder

Words of Inspiration - Everyone has a purpose

"There will never be another NOW.

Learn from the past. Don't dwell on it.

Make tomorrow what you want it to be.

That is your choice in life."

Everyone you have ever known  or met had a purpose!

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person..
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,
To aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are..
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they just move far away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,
Things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson,
Love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant

Thank everyone you have ever known for being a part of your life,
Whether they were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Thank you for entering my life by reading this

Take care

Words of Inspiration - Peace beyond the mind

"Our mind is like a candle flame, disturbed by the winds of
our emotions. When the candle flame is still, the radiating light
allows us to see more clearly. In the same way, when we calm
our mind, quieten our thoughts and rest, clarity and confidence
naturally arise in our lives."
His Eminence the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche, Jigme Losel Wangpo

Rest the mind, not just the physical body.

Find the peace beyond the mind, beyond the thoughts, the worries, the every day stress we accumulate in order to make our lives happier, more productive.

Stress, worry, anxiety, depression, anger, can not exist when the mind is not thinking. And when in this state, solutions can arise.

To regain sanity you need to be out of your mind!!!

Be at peace

Words of Inspiration - I CHOOSE to be grateful

I CHOOSE to be grateful for.......

Too many e-mails, because it means I have friends thinking of me.

The large pile of laundry & ironing, because it means I have clothes to wear.

For my large heating bill, because it means I am warm.

For the alarm that goes off in the early hours, because it means I am alive.

For the lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning & gutters that need fixing, because it means I have a home.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug, because it means I have enough to eat.

My shadow that watches me work, because it means I am out in the sunshine.

For the lady behind me singing loudly out of tune in church, because it means I can hear.

Getting a parking spot at the far end of the carpark, because it means I am capable of walking & have a car.

For the wife who says its my turn to cook tonight, because she is home with me.

For the husband who is on the sofa being a couch potato, because he is home & not out drinking.

For the teenagers who are complaining about doing the dishes, because it means they are at home & not on the streets.

For the taxes I pay, because it means I have a job.

For the mess to clean up after a party, because it means I have been surrounded by friends.

For all the unsung heros who, without any thought of receiving anything in return, do something special for one who needs help.

For the strangers I pass in the street who share a passing smile. It only takes a moment but can change a persons day.

Share a smile, brighten up some-ones day, you will feel that much better as well.

Take care

Words of Inspiration - Live for today

Live for today
as yesterday is but a memory.
And tomorrow a vision.
But every today well lived
makes every yesterday a memory of happiness
and every tomorrow a vision of hope.

NOW is the moment of power. It is the only time that exists. Everything that has ever happened, happened NOW.

Take yourself back to school learning history, with a time line graph. A horizontal line with dates indicating special moments in history, or your life. Change this image to a vertical line. Everything happens at a moment of NOW.  There is only one time that exists & that is NOW.

NOW is the time to Create, to Love, to Be.

Be the change you wish to see in the world. When??  NOW!!

Take care

Words of Inspiration - Reap your destiny!

Your thoughts become an action
Your action becomes a habit
Your habit becomes your life.

Sow a seed, you reap a habit
Sow a habit, you reap a character
Sow a character, you reap a destiny.

Words of Inspiration - Step outside your comfort zone

I used to have a comfort zone
Where I knew I couldn't fail
The same four walls of busy work
Were really more like jail

I longed so much to do the things
I'd never done before,
But I stayed inside my comfort zone
And paced the same old floor

I claimed to be so busy
With things inside my zone,
But deep inside I longed for
Something special of my own.

I couldn't let my life go by,
Just watching others win.
I held my breath and stepped outside
And let the change begin.

I took a step and with new strength
I'd never felt before,
I kissed my comfort zone 'goodbye'
And closed and locked the door.

If you are in a comfort zone,
Afraid to venture out,
Remember that all the winners were
At one time filled with doubt.

A step or two and words of praise,
Can make your dreams come true.
Greet your future with a smile,
Success is there for you!

Words of Inspiration - Feed that which serves you best.

Photo - soultones

A native American grandfather was talking to his son
about how he felt.

He said "I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart.
One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one.
The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one."

The grandson asked him, "Which wolf will win the fight
in your heart?"

The grandfather answered:

"The one I feed."

Focus on the positive. Remember Ike - your thoughts create your reality

Words of Inspiration - Love Yourself & Stay Young

You are as young as you feel!!

So how do you stay feeling young?

- Love yourself. If you don't, how can anyone else?

- Keep only cheerful friends. Negative people can pull you down.

- Throw out the nonessential numbers. Including age, weight & height.

- Enjoy the simple things.

- Keep learning. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devils workshop." And the devils name is Alzheimer's.

- Laugh. Often, long & loud.

- Let the tears come. Cry, bawl, grieve and move on. Don't hold it in, let it out, feel it experience it & let it go.

- Surround yourself with what you love. Family, pets, music, plants, hobbies whatever.

- Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the shops, interstate, overseas, but not where the guilt is.

- Look after your health. If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help. It is my belief that the root cause of ALL disease & illness is toxic overload  and negative or suppressed emotions.
Clear out the toxins - Eat healthy (organic where possible)

            - Detox. there are numerous methods & products (some good some not so). For one of the best available check out zeolites & testimonials. Can be purchased from here

            - Emotional release  -  Once again numerous methods available. A few include....
            -  EFT one of the best around. Quick, easy, painless and effective at getting rid of emotional issues that may be causing any current physical issues. To find a practitioner in your area check your local phone book. Or you can learn it & treat yourself, it is that easy.
            -  Emotional Release Massage, Or a normal massage, always good for making you feel better.
            -  Exercise
            - Get a punching bag & beat the #@#> out of it
            - Kicking & screaming underwater works well too.

- Tell people that you love them, at every opportunity!!!!!

Till next time

Take care

Words of inspiration - Look behind the exterior

What do you see, looking at this photo??

The Crabby old man

What do you see nurses?..........What do you see?
What are you thinking ........When you're looking at me?
A crabby old man,......Not very wise, uncertain of habit with faraway eyes?
Who dribbles his food......And makes no reply.
When you say in a loud voice.....'I do wish you'd try!'
Who seem not to notice.....The things that you do.
And forever is losing......A sock or shoe?
Who, resisting or not.....Lets you do as you will,
With bathing and feeding.....The long day to fill?
Is that what you're thinking?.....Is that what you see?
Then open your eyes, nurse.. You're not looking at me.
I'll tell you who I am....As I sit here so still,
As I do at your bidding......As I eat at your will.
I'm a small child of ten.... With a father and mother,
Brothers and sisters....Who love one another.
A young boy of Sixteen......With wings on his feet.
Dreaming that soon..A lover he'll meet.
A groom soon at twenty.......My heart gives a leap.
Remembering the vows......That I promised to keep.
At twenty-five, now.......I have young of my own.
Who need me to guide.....And a secure happy home.
A man of thirty.....My young now grown fast.
Bound to each other.......With ties that should last.
At forty, my young sons......Have grown and are gone,
But my woman's beside me...To see! I don't mourn.
At fifty, once more,....Babies play 'round my knee.
Again we know children..My loved one and me.
Dark days are upon me...My wife is now dead.
I look at the future.......I shudder with dread.
For my young are all rearing......Young of their own.
And I think of the years....And the love that I've known.
I'm now an old man.....And nature is cruel.
Tis jest to make old age.....Look like a fool.
The body, it crumbles.....Grace and vigor, depart.
There is now a stone...Where once I had a heart.
But inside this carcass......A young guy still dwells,
And now and again.....My battered heart swells.
I remember the joys......I remember the pain.
And I'm loving and living........Life over again.
I thik of the years...All too few.....Gone too fast.
And accept the stark fact...That nothing can last.
So open your eyes, people....open and see.
Not a crabby old man. Look closer..See ME!!

Written by an old man who died in a geriatric ward of a small hospital near Tampa, Florida. This poem found by the nurses who believed he left nothing of value.

Look beyond the exterior at the young soul within, next time you meet an older person or relative you might normally brush aside.

One day we will be there too!!!

What do  you see now??

Take care

Words of Inspiration - Kala

The second Huna principle is

Kala - "There are no limits" or "Anything is possible"

This has been an unfathomable concept for me for a long time. How can there be no limits?

This conundrum first reared its head when I was about 6 or 7. I placed my head between two mirrors facing each other and upon looking into one saw dozens of images of myself stretching off into the distance gradually getting smaller and smaller. Where did the reflections end? What was beyond the last one? I imagined myself being able go into the mirror to find the end but all I could see was multiple images of myself stretching off into infinity.

Later on I looked to the stars & the same question came up, where did the universe end? What was beyond the last star? How can something be infinite?
We hear that the universe is expanding. Expanding into what? If it has no end how can it get bigger?

Later on came the movie "The never ending story". So ok, we are only limited by our thoughts our current beliefs, and in our minds anything is possible. Some things may be beyond our current comprehension but if we can think it, it can happen on some level.

Then came Kala - there are no limits, so there are no boundaries, meaning everything is connected, therefore anything is possible.

To me it means we are only limited by our imagination where we once again touch on Ike, todays thoughts are tomorrows reality. The car, the telephone, planes, space travel all began as a thought. Less than 300 yrs ago these things were seen as impossible, yet today they are accepted as commonplace. What is it we see as impossible today? One thing that comes to mind is traveling faster than light & visiting distant galaxies. Yet in our minds we can already do this. Movie directors have accomplished this feat way back in star trek & star wars and in spaceballs Mel Brookes managed to go even faster, at ludicrous speed.

A common practice these days is visualization. I like to picture myself beside a lake with snow topped mountains in the distance reflected in the mirror like lake. It only takes a few seconds yet I am there. I have travelled to the other side of the world faster than light. I may not be there physically but on a mental & emotional level I can see it and  feel it.

Kala - there are no limits. If we use the power of our minds and apply Ike, our thoughts create our reality, then nothing is impossible.

Take care

Words of Inspiration. Ike (ee-kay)

Hi to all again & welcome

During the KaHuna massage courses I have done, I was introduced to the seven Huna principles, which I now apply subconsciously while massaging and to every day living. I believe they are a way to a healthy mind & life.

Ike (ee-Kay) is the first of the seven.

Ike - The world is what you think it is - be aware of your thoughts

A more commonly known meaning at present is "your thoughts create your reality". A well known book is "The power of positive thinking". And we have all heard stories of people who have survived life threatening illnesses naturally. How?

Every thought you have had, every decision you have made has led you to where you are today.
And the thoughts, decisions & ideas you have today will create your tomorrow & your future.

Scary? or useful?

Consider your life to be a movie in which you are the director, producer & star. In your mind you write the script.
What are you going to be, do, see in the next chapter (tomorrow).

What do you like?
What do you not like? (then hit delete & re-write = CHANGE)

CHANGE - one of those things that so many people fear. Why?

Comfort zones. We have created our lives this way. We may say that we do not like this or that but this is who we are, whether it is a job, relationship, situation etc. this is what we have created, it is who we are. Stepping outside these boundaries we have made sets the nerves off. "But if I leave this job what am I going to do? It may be worse. What am I going to talk (complain) about?" etc.

Ike - your thoughts create your reality - It is your choice

It may not happen instantaneously but constant awareness of our thoughts, our perception of our reality, change is the only possible outcome. Good or bad? Your choice!!!

Take care

Words of Inspiration - Look beyond what you see

Hi to all and welcome :-))

I am Steven (steve, stevie or  stevo, I answer to all and have been called worse).

I would like to share with anyone who has an interest in inspirational messages, thoughts and ideas, that can help anyone live healthier & happier.

What do you see here??
(If you can only see the obvious let me know & I will give a tip.)

To quote a line from one of my daughters favorite movies "Look beyond what you see".

Most people are so caught up in the reality they are living that they cannot see the whole picture. They can just see what they allow themselves too and in doing so can miss out on the whole picture.

When you go for a drive or a walk try to get out of the tunnel vision attitude most of us have and enjoy the journey, look beyond what you see and allow a whole new set of images into your focus. See the beauty that is everywhere, in everything, allow it into your heart and make your day a happier one, in doing so there will be that much extra happiness in the world.

Till next time

Take care
